The Juicy Reasons to Drink Lemon Water
One of the things I do every single morning is drink warm lemon water. It’s become a habit that I will continue for the rest of my life.
Why drink warm lemon water?
Fresh lemon water stimulates the liver and aids in the digestive process. This results in eliminating waste products from the body more easily and improves digestive health. It’s a natural cleansing detoxifier.
Here are 5 additional amazing health benefits of drinking lemon water:
Has antibacterial properties and can prevent the growth of harmful bacteria that cause infections and diseases.
Maintains healthy pH levels in the body and reduces inflammation.
Strengthens the immune system and fights off the common cold
Clears up skin, reducing acne and wrinkles with its antioxidants and vitamins.
Aids in weight loss by improving the digestive system and from the pectin fibers in lemon, which reduce hunger.
I highly recommend incorporating warm lemon water into your daily morning routine.
Wake up each morning and immediately drink a large glass of warm lemon water. Always use fresh lemons, not bottled juice. Use warm water (not hot water) to preserve the live enzymes.
Wait at least 10 minutes or so before eating or drinking anything else to give the lemon water time to fully absorb and do its job.
To avoid exposing your teeth to the citric acid, drink through a straw. I generally use washable BPA–free straws designed for hot liquids (you can order them online).
Add cayenne pepper to your lemon water if you feel bold. Cayenne pepper has a vast amount of health benefits and has been thought to help suppress appetite and burn calories with its thermogenic properties.
Are you ready to take this next step to improving your daily health? It’s a simple addition, but makes a big difference.
When life throws you lemons, make lemon water with them.
Cheers to your health and creating daily healthy habits!
